Tomoko decided to be honest with me last week over what's been happening with her. It seems like her powers have increased, something I'd honestly not expected since it's really only stayed as the sort of empathic stuff she could do. I thought that was the extent of it, but I guess not.

I took her to the Arcadia Movement to get tested again but... it seems like they're in some kind of financial trouble and have been for a while. They actually told me they will be closing by the end of the month. They no longer have the ability to test those who have psychic powers any more so they couldn't test Tomoko at all.
I was able to talk to someone there at least to get an opinion on what was going on with my daughter and they told me it did seem to be a growth in her powers due to the onset of puberty, which are showing through as a psychic healing ability, as well as a growth in her empathic abilities. They felt that she not only picks up on other's feelings, but also now takes those feelings on as her own, which explains why she's been unpredictable with her emotions.
They told me it's good that her psychic ability has shown through as the ability to heal, but that she really needs to be careful with her emotions when dueling now... it seems they can no longer give out limiters or anything though so I'm not sure what to do.

Tomoko is worried that she'll accidentally hurt someone in a duel if she isn't able to have one and I'm worried about that too...
...she's not aggressive when she duels, she's usually more excited than anything, but with her taking on the emotions of other's around her now too, it's difficult to say how she'll act and she has no control over it...

Tomoko turned 11-years-old yesterday. It's amazing how fast time flies. She's going to be a teenager before I know it.
Thankfully she's not entered the stage yet where she wants to be more grown up, but I guess that time will come soon enough. For now, I'll just enjoy what I have left of that before the hormonal mood swings start setting in, in a year or twos time.

Ever since Juudai started teaching Tomoko how to duel, I've noticed her reading and maths skills have improved quite a bit. The other day she was reading the effects of some of her cards to me, then explaining what they meant. She still struggles with some of the bigger words, but she manages it eventually after a few tries.
Seems like Juudai is doing a really good job. I'm looking forward to the day when I actually get to see her in a proper duel.

I'm taking Tomoko to a small halloween party later. She's going as a skeleton. When buying her costume earlier in the week, I picked out a really nice witches outfit, but she refused to have that and insisted on the skeleton outfit, saying she didn't want to wear a dress... she wore dresses without complaint last year. I guess it's a phase she's going through.

I've noticed she's been taking more interest in the duels that go on at the apartment too. She keeps asking me about the cards and what they do, but I only know so much about the actual game itself. I know she's been asking other people about it too, so I apologize if she's being a bother to anyone.
Maybe I should look into getting her one of those duel disks for Christmas...

Hmm, Juudai just asked me if I was interested in taking a small kitten he happened to take in over the weekend. Seems like he wanted to keep it but isn't in a good financial situation to do so...
... I've been thinking for a while now that maybe I should get a pet for Tomoko and I, at least, one we can both see. I told him I may be interested and he invited me to take Tomoko round tomorrow to have a look at the kitten.

I guess when I told her the other day, it could of gone a lot worse... I thought she'd run away and I was about to call the police when I checked back to see if she had come home by herself and saw her playing with that boy she's made friends with, she'd been there all the time.
She scolded me for lying to her, I guess I deserve that.
She seems okay now, sad, but... okay.

...I really thought for a while back then that I'd lost her forever... I really couldn't bare that at all...

Tomoko has been having trouble sleeping since what happened at the apartment a few nights ago, she keeps telling me that those scary dragons are chasing her in her dreams.
This place isn't safe, it feels like nowhere is right now.

Then I hear that Juudai died during that chaos... I don't know anymore than that, I haven't dared to ask, but he was such a sweet boy, he didn't deserve his life being taken away.
This must be hard on all this friends, but especially hard on his girlfriend...
... I know what it's like to have someone you truly love suddenly disappear from your life.
